About Us

Whiskey Ridge Whitetails was established in New Melle, Missouri, in 2005 with two bred does, a Griffith Bothers PA Geronimo granddaughter (Sam James Dream Knockout daughter) and a Steve Thayer Troubles daughter. 

Fast forward to 2011. Over the past 7 years we have built what we feel is one of the best doe line ups we could possibly imagine. It has taken a long time, but we feel the time, investment, and effort to complete this doe herd was well worth it and we are excited to see what they will produce for us in the coming years. You can view all of our deer’s pedigrees on the genetics sheets pages. We would like to thank all the farms and individuals who helped us along the way, without them we would not be where we are.

In the summer of 2011 we purchased 2 new breeder bucks directly from Blosser Whitetails. We feel Nathan and the Blosser family have one of the premier operations in the country and produce some of the most sought after and producing bucks and does year in and year out, and these 2 new breeders are no accident, they are bred to and will produce outstanding offspring for years to come.

WRW Sun Canyon is a 2 year old BW Grand Canyon son out of a BW Sundowner Doe. His score is as impressive as his Pedigree. Scoring 338 5/8” @2 with a 217” 7X6 main frame, he is one of the largest 2 year olds of all time and by far the largest BW Grand Canyon son to date. Not many 2 year olds scoring this high have an eye catching main frame like this guy, more a less being 20.5” inside and an impressive 36” outside. He is far wider inside and out than Sundowner was at 2. Can’t wait to see what he grows in the years to come.

WRW Silver Ranger is a 2 year old Maxbo Ranger son out of a Silver Star doe. He scores 252 6/8”@2 with a 6X6 main frame, As far as we know he is the largest 2 year Maxbo Ranger son to date, with a large, great typical frame. Silver Star is Silver King’s full brother and the PA Geronimo doe below Silver Star has powerful production in her with PA Geronimo’s production being added to Thunderstorm’s full sister.

Both these bucks are bred to produce and are going to be bred to some of the most powerful does in the country in our opinion.

Both bucks were scored with 2 Official SCI scorers present and semen is now available. Semen is priced at $1500, multi straw discounts are available. We feel these 2 bucks represent the best in typical and non-typical genetics and should appeal to anyone's genetic preference no matter which way you like to breed. Texas semen rights for both bucks are also available.
